Villarreal CF and Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement for the loan of Juan Foyth, who will play for the Yellows during the 2020/21 season. The loan agreement has a purchase option at the end of the season. The Argentine footballer will join up with his team-mates after his time with the Argentine national squad, who have named him in the provisional squad for their upcoming matches next week. Details of his presentation as a Villarreal CF player will be announced soon.
Foyth, youth and security for the Yellows’ defence
Juan Marcos Foyth (La Plata, 12/01/1998) stands out for his ability to anticipate and recover the ball. He is also impressive with the ball at his feet, and dominates in the air. Thanks to his versatility, he can play both at centre-back and right-back.
The new Yellows defender signed for Tottenham Hotspur aged just 19 from Estudiantes de la Plata, the club where he came through the ranks and stepped up to the elite. Foyth is an Argentina international, having played ten times for them.
