Villarreal CF has reached an agreement with UD Melilla for the transfer of defender Sofian Chakla, who will play for the Yellows reserves for the upcoming 2019/20 season. With the arrive of the Moroccan centre-back, the Mini Submarine have made their first signing in the summer transfer window.
Broad, yet quick, Chakla is a 25-year-old defender, formed at the Malaga CF at Real Betis academies. He has also player for clubs like Videoton FC, La Roda CF, CD El Ejido and UD Almería B.
With regards to departures from Villarreal B, Joan Femenías, Emmanuel Lomotey, Rubén Mesa and Nikola Vujnovic have all left after their expiration of their contracts, while Simón Moreno has joined UD Almería on loan and Mario González and Roger Riera have joined Clermont Foot and NAC Breda respectively, on permanent deals.
