Spain U17s qualify in style for the European Championships after beating Portugal (0-2), going through as first in their group in the Elite Round. The U17 tournament will be held at the end of May in Croatia.

The Roda U19 striker scored one of Spain’s two goals after coming on in the 30th minute to replace the injured Abel Ruiz, who had already scored the first goal from the penalty spot. Nach Díaz’s scored his goal in the 46th minute. Spain’s wide midfielder, Ferran García, got to the byline after beating his defender and pulled a killer pass back to the penalty spot for Nacho Díaz to strike home.
