Villarreal coach Marcelino Garcia and Manu Trigueros were responsible for representing the club in the presentation of the triangular tournament that the Submarine will play tomorrow against Valencia CF and Hong Kong Rangers. The matches, 45 minutes each, will start from 19.30 pm (13.30 pm in Spain) at the Mong Kok Stadium of Hong Kong and will be broadcast live on Gol T and the official channel LFP La Liga TV.
The event, held at the Harbour Grand Hotel in Hong Kong, benefited also of the presence of Valencia's coach, Juan Antonio Pizzi, the player Jérémy Mathieu, HK Rangers coach Ricardo Rambo and footballer Lam Hok. During the presentation, Marcelino stressed the importance of these kind of events, that allow to expand the image of Spanish football: "It is very important to promote our league worldwide and these matches are a great opportunity to do so. I hope we will give a good image tomorrow and that people will enjoy. It has been a great year and this trip is a reward for us, we have to enjoy it. The weather here is very different because of the heat and humidity, but hopefully we will get used to it well. "
Meanwhile, the midfielder Manu Trigueros acknowledged that the Asian tour is a great climax to a spectacular season for the Submarine. "After this brilliant year, going to China is an exciting experience. Here, it is not about winning or losing, the objective is to expand our reputation in the world, we are ambassadors of Spanish football and that's nice for a player. Three years ago I was in the youth academy and now I am here as a first team player. Personally, this trip is something special, something emotional for me as a footballer. "
