Villarreal CF will face the British team, Brighton and Hove Albion this summer with an exciting friendly at the English team's brand new Amex stadium on Saturday 27th July, kick-off at 7.30pm. The 'seagulls' are currently playing in the Championship, the British equivalent of the Spanish second division, Brighton however has a strong squad, lead by former Barcelona player Oscar Garcia Junyent. The team performed well last season and finished fourth in the table, a mere four points behind the positions for promotion.

Brighton also has a handful of Spanish players in their ranks such as Bruno Saltor, Inigo Calderon, Andrea Orlandi as well as an old acquaintance of the Submarines, Argentine striker Leo Ulloa.
