Artana native midfielder has played in all competitions with Villarreal CF

In case he plays tonight against Xerez, Bruno Soriano will achieve the magic number of 250 official matches for Villarreal CF. He was born in Artana, June 12th, 1984, and he's currently playing his 7th season in the Submarine. His début was made against Mallorca in Palma on October 1st, 2006 when he replaced Alessio Tacchinardi on the 64th minute of a match that ended with a victory of the Yellows by 1-2.

Besides being one of Villarreal's footballers with the biggest number of official matches, Bruno has taken part in every competition the Submarine has played. Thus, the midfielder has played a total of 156 la Liga matches, 32 Second Division matches, 18 King's Cup matches and 42 European competition matches (1 Intertoto Cup, 14 Champions League, 21 Europa League).

Starting on 84.4% of Villarreal's matches, Bruno has been the captain in many of them. At the moment, he has scored six goals: 1 in the King's Cup, 3 in La Liga and 2 in the Second Division this season. He has received 56 cards and has been sent off 4 times, every one of them in the Second Division.

Only Marcos Senna (361), Arruabarrena (284), Cani (282) and Javi Venta (260) have played more matches in Villarreal CF.
