The Italian-American player will join the Tuscany based squad

Villarreal CF and ACF Fiorentina have come to an agreement for the transfer of Italian-American striker Giuseppe Rossi. The only step remaining to complete the transfer is the signature of the contract and from now on the "Bambino" will play for the Italian side. The Submarine wants to thank Giuseppe for his commitment and professionalism during the six seasons in which he played for the club - he arrived in the 2007-2008 season from Manchester United - and wishes him the best of luck in his future professional career.

Born in Teaneck (February 1st, 1987, New Jersey, United States) with Italian parents, Giuseppe Rossi began his career in the youth ranks of FC Parma, where he arrived with just 12 years old. At 17 he was transferred to Manchester United where he played twelve games with the first team (4 goals) and more than fifty with the set of 'reserves'-young-promises, scoring 34 goals.

In the 2006-2007 season, the striker was loaned to Newcastle (13 games, one goal) returning to Parma on loan during the following year (20 games, 9 goals). In 2007-2008, Rossi signed for Villarreal, where he became one of the symbols of the Submarine almost since his arrival. With the yellow jersey he has played a total of 192 matches and scored 82 goals in all competitions. In addition, the Italian-American is a regular player of the Italian National Team , with which he played 27 matches and scored 6 goals.
