Villarreal CF and Real Betis Balompié have come to an agreement to loan striker Jonathan Pereira to the Submarine. Pereira will return to the team where he grew up as a player. Galician native becomes the first signing of the Submarine in the winter market. He signed for the White and Greens in January 2010 and has remained in the Andalusian side since then (77 matches and 16 goals).
The player will join the rest of the squad in this Thursday's training session in the Sports City, even though he won't be able to play until January 5th against FC Barcelona B (El Madrigal, 6 pm). This will be in the 20th match day of the Adelante League.
Jonathan Pereira Rodríguez (Born in Vigo, Pontevedra, the 12th of May 1987), arrived to Villarreal at 15 and turning into one of the most promising players in the youth ranks, where he played 93 matches and scored 60 goals. In the 2006-2007 he made his Primera début, scoring against Levante just one minute after entering the pitch. In 2007-2008 he was loaned to Racing de Ferrol and a year later to Racing de Santander. He finally ended up in Betis after starting the 2009-2010 season with the Submarine.
