Villarreal CF has come to an agreement with Walter Pandiani for him to play with the Submarines during this season. After completing the standard physical examination, the striker has signed his new contract and will be presented to the fans tomorrow during an open event at the "Entrelíneas" Restaurant (12.30 pm). This restaurant is attached to El Madrigal stadium and is one of the club's most popular meeting points for events. After the event, all the attendees will join the classic sweepstakes and will be able to win two of Pandiani's official jerseys.
The veteran striker started his career in the Basañez club to move to Peñarol in 1998. After two years in Montevideo, Pandiani signed for Deportivo de la Coruña and was transfered to Spain. He played for the Blue and Whites during two seasons (00-02), was loaned to Mallorca for a year (02-03) and came back to Deportivo after scoring 14 goals. He played another two years for Deportivo (03-05).
He was loaned to Birmingham City in the last part of the 04-05 season, to finally sign with the English club in the 05-06. During the same season he was loaned to Espanyol, playing with the Catalan team during 06-07. In 07-08 season he was transfered to Osasuna and played for the Red and Blacks during 4 seasons. In 11-12 he returned to Espanyol, signing for one season.
