Villarreal defender Pau Francisco Torres appeared in front of the club and league's official media outlets to analyse the current goings on for the Yellow Submarine, who are this week started training as a united group. The footballer from Vila-real recognised that the team is now focused on preparing for the tie against RC Celta (Saturday 13th June, 5pm CEST). "We have our minds focused on LaLiga's return. We're starting to do matches in training sessions and analysing our opponents. We're moving ahead with the tasks we're doing in. In these ten days we're going to prepare as much as possible, as the games after that will be one after the other. We have be at our best level when we get going."
With regards to the chances of fighting for the European spots, Pau underlined his ambition and that the team will do everything possible to achieve their aim: "We have the chance to get into Europe if we finish seventh and that's what we'll try and do. The team is excited and will fight until the very end."
The Yellows No.4 highlighted that all of his team-mates are prepared and believe that they will be crucial in this last stage of the season: "There are a lot of games in not very many days and there will be rotations. All of my team-mates are going to have their chances to help the team. We'll feel the los of Funes Mori, but all of us will try and cover that absence in the best way possible."
Finally, Pau believes his first season with the Yellows' first team has been positive, but he underlined that he needs to keep working hard and hopes to help the team end the season well: "This season is going well for me, but I need to continue working as hard as possible. No-one remembers what we've done up to this moment."
