Seven academy players selected by Futbol Draft '20

The Yellows youth set up is represented well in the first list of 99 young footballers with the most talent nationally

Seven Yellows Academy footballers have been selected by Futbol Draft '20 to be part of the 99 candidates who will earn a place in the Golden, Silver and Bronze XIs of the 2019/20 season.

Villarreal B defenders Edu Adell (1999) and Goyo Medina (2000) have been nominated as best left-back, while midfielders Manu Morlanes (1999) and Sergio Lozano (1999) are candidates to enter in the XIs as left centre midfielders. Also Iván Martín (1999) and Álex Baena (2001) are nominated as left wingers. Finally, Fer Niño (2000) has been nominated as best striker.

The first Technical Commitee of Football Draft '20, which took place this lunchtime at the Real Federación Española de Fútbol en Las Rozas, carried out the first selection of the best national talents aged between 16 and 30. The next cut, of 55 male and 33 female players, will take place on 4th May, while the winning players will be named on the third meeting, on 10th June.

The Technical Committee was attended by Javier Lasagabaster (CEO Futbol Draft), Francis Hernández (RFEF national team co-ordinator), Luis de la Fuente (U21 selector), Santi Denia (U18 selector), David Gordo (U17 selector), Julen Guerrero (U16 selector), Jacinto Alonso (Federación Riojana president and RFEF board member), Ángel Caballero (AEAF - Asociación Española Agentes Jugadores), Ricardo Resta (LaLiga), Vicente Miera (former Spain senior side selector), Nacho Silván, (youth football expert) and Aritz Gabilondo (youth football expert).
