Villarreal B came away with an important win away from home against Orihuela (1-2). Miguel Álvarez's side beat The Scorpions thanks to two goals from Sergio Lozano. The home side's goal came from Javi Llor from the penalty spot.
The Yellows made their quality and good control of the ball count, dominating possession from the start of the game. In the first half, the Mini Submarine had a great chance to go ahead on the scoreboard. With 36 minutes on the clock, the referee awarded the Yellows a penalty. Iván Martín's spot kick was saved by Aitor, the home goalkeeper.
In the second half, the Submarine did open the scoring. In the 56th minute, Lozano scored the second of three penalties in the match. In the 82nd minute, Lozano, once more found the back of the net with an unstoppable drive.
In added time, Orihuela got one back from the penalty spot, with Llor beating Diego Fuoli. They were, however, unable to stop Álvarez's side from winning. The Mini Submarine have got their second win in a row, and with 36 points, are now just a point away from the play-offs.
