Villarreal manager Javi Calleja underlined his optimism ahead of the clash this Friday against Atlético Madrid at the Estadio de la Cerámica (9pm CET). The head coach, however, did warn of the match's difficulty: "Atlético Madrid are very difficult opponent, although it is true that results against them have been good for us in recent years. We have a squad with quality and a lot of options. They're a team that is set up well in defence and it's hard to score against them."
Calleja sees the team as motivated: "No-one wants to win more than we do. We want to get three points at home once more. We know that it has been a difficult month and the best medicine for that would be to beat Atlético Madrid. We must know how to face this sort of matches. Atlético are a very experienced team and we will have to interpret the game well to get the result we want. Winning the upcoming games at home would make us calm."
