Villarreal CF is landing in Miami. The Yellows, in collaboration with LaLiga and through the Villarreal Academy project, will organise a series of exclusive events in Florida during November, with the aim of expanding the international brand of the club and promoting its soccer methodology.
The Yellow Submarine and LaLiga will host the Villarreal Yellow Cup Miami tournament. The competition, which will take place from 8th to 10th November at the Amelia Earhart Park, will see 24 U12 sides meet each other. They will include a Villarreal CF side, five teams from MLS and 18 outfits from the state of Florida. The winner of the tournament will seal their place in the next edition of LaLiga Promises USA.
Before hand, Villarreal will host the Elite Camp in the USA. The clinic, which will take place on 2nd and 3rd November at the Amelia Earhart Park, will see Villarreal legend Marcos Senna there, alongside Yellows youth coaches, who will work under the club's methodology.
The Yellows will also make the most of their visit to Florida to carry out the LaLiga Mobile Experience. From 4th to 7th November, the Yellows and coaches from the club will work with various local soccer academies, who will enjoy clinics led by Senna, aimed at forming players and coaches.
Villarreal CF has previously visited Miami, last year. The Yellow Submarine, with Senna leading the way, organized a clinic on Floridian soil. Out of all the participants, Ricardo Sierra - who appears in the photo alongside Carlos Bacca and Ramiro Funes Mori - was chosen to come to Spain due to his good performances there. The youngster spend a week training with Yellows Academy teams.
