Villarreal CF and Leicester City have reached an agreement for the transfer of midfielder Vicente Iborra, who will put on the Yellow shirt for the rest of the season, and four more campaigns (until June 2023).
Potent in the air, and a goalscorer too
Vicente Iborra de la Fuente (Moncada, 16/01/1988) started his professional career with Levante UD, where he played 186 official matches in six seasons (13 goals and three assists). He then moved on to play for Sevilla FC in the 2013/14 season. He was there for four seasons, playing 172 matches, scoring 30 times and registering 13 assists. From Sevilla, he moved to England, with Leicester City, where he played 38 times in a season and a half (four goals and two assists).
At 30 years old, Iborra is an experienced midfielder who is dominant in the air. He has quality in front of goal, timing his runs from deep to perfection. He is a prestigious signing for the Yellow Submarine. Welcome, Iborra!
