Villarreal CF and US Sassuolo have come to an agreement for the transfer of Nicola Sansone, who will wear Yellow for the next five seasons. The versatile, attacking player was born in Germany, but like his new teammate Roberto Soriano, he also has an Italian passport. In fact, Sansone has played 16 matches for the Italian youth teams and one match with the Italy senior side.
Nicola Sansone (Munich (Germany), 10th September 1991) is a versatile player who can play as both striker or on either wing. His speed and versatility make him a very dangerous player going forward. Sansone also has great quality with the ball at his feet, which has helped him to score 34 goals in his career. Last season he scored 7 goals for US Sassuolo.
Formed in the ranks of the Bayern Munich academy, Nicola Sansone signed for Parma Calcio in the 2011/12 season, from there he was loaned to FC Crotone for that season. In the 2012/13 campaign he returned to Parma and in the 2013/14 season he signed for US Sassuolo, where he has been a key player for the last few seasons.
The date of Sansone’s presentation as a new Villarreal CF player will be announced shortly.
