Throughout its 23 years of history, ‘Vila-real BC’ has made a great effort to encourage female basketball in the town. In the 1994/95 season the club had three teams: senior, U19 and U16. One season later, in the 1995/96 season the club was made up of four teams: senior, U19 and two U16 teams. With hard work these teams achieved promotion to the Segunda División Nacional (Second National Division), while the youth teams kept increasing and improving too. For different motives, some seasons later the senior team disappeared, but the club continued to work with their youth teams. In the 2004/05 season the senior age group returned to the club and, since then, ‘Vila-real BC’ has not stopped growing.
