The tournament took place during the build-up to the first team’s game against Real Valladolid at the Estadio de la Cerámica
The ‘3v3 Groguet’ tournament returned in style. The first matchday of this season saw U8 and 10 teams from Villarreal CF, CD l’Alcora, CD Oliver and Esportiu Vila-real take part. After exciting matches, Villarreal’s ‘Gerard’ team won the U8s age group, beating the Yellow’s ‘Iborra’ side 3-1 in the final, while CD Oliver’s ‘Gerard’ team beat their ‘Iborra’ side in the U10 final 2-1.
Each participant received a commemorative t-shirt from the tournament, a drink throughout the tournament, as well as free tickets alongside their coaches for the match against Real Valladolid. They will also be put into the draw for a trip alongside two adults with the Villarreal first team. The winners also got a medal and were able to take a photograph alongside the starting XI before the LaLiga match.
Each matchday will see a winner for each age group, and at the end of the season, there will be a final matchday with the winners from each tournament, with the final during the half-time break of a first-team match.
